2021 Grenache. Ballard Canyon AVA, Santa Barbara County. Tablas Clone Grenache made from the organically farmed Piazza Bella Vista Vineyard. Blend includes 17% CCOF Organic certified Kimsey Vineyard Syrah. 50% whole cluster, 15 months in neutral french oak. Unfined and Unfilterd. 70 cases made. 

94 points. This marks a very promising debut for this winemaker. Light colored in the glass, this Grenache pops on the nose with brisk cranberry and raspberry aromas alongside herbs and potpourri. There's chalky tension to the palate, where buoyant acidity powers flavors of raspberry, strawberry, cracked pepper and damp herb. Wine Enthusiast (M.K.)
